Who is this table for?
This table is not for competitive play. We will let you know that for free. While it may be the size of a competitive table, it is not going to withstand long periods of heavy play. So, if you are planning on jumping onto this table every day, then look somewhere else.
Instead, it is a table designed to be put into a game’s room and used on a semi-regular basis. Nothing too crazy. It can be used by adults, but we feel as though this table is more geared toward children, as it is not the most rugged on the market.
How well does it play?
It plays well. It doesn’t offer the smoothest gameplay in the world, but the majority of people who are going for a table like this are not looking for smooth gameplay. They are looking for something that can offer them a decent amount of fun in short bursts.
The blower is powerful enough to ensure that the puck can glide over the table with ease. Couple this with the relatively smooth surface on the top of the table and you can enjoy fast periods of play. The only real downside is that the sides of the table are low. If you hit that puck too hard, it is going to go sailing right the way off.

This is not an expensive table, not when you compare it to other tables on the market. This means it can’t be built with the best quality materials in mind. The construction of the table is actually pressed wood covered with some Formica.
This means that if you do not treat it well, it is going to become dented rather quickly. This is not good, as most people out there are going to be purchasing this table because it does look good. However, if you do treat this table well, and we are positive you will, then it is something that is going to look great for years to come.
The main issue we have with the table, and which many other reviewers have, is the fact that the table is lightweight. This means it is easy to knock about and you can’t really enjoy the fastest and most intense periods of play.
However, once again we do need to stress that this table is not built to a competition standard so that is to be expected. We do want to heap a ton of praise on the 120V blower the table comes equipped with.
This is actually one of the high points of the Atomic Blazer 7’. The blower looks like it will keep going for a while without needing to be switched off. This is unlike some of the other cheap tables on the market where you need to wait a while between play sessions, which is never going to be all that fun.
Summary
If you are looking for a mid range table that you can use for short bursts of time, we have no hesitation in recommending the Atomic Blazer 7’ Air Hockey Table. Try to ignore many of the negative reviews, as most of those people were expecting something the Atomic could not deliver at this price. If you just want something to fill your game room, this fits that niche.
