Redline Acclaim 4.5’ Air Powered Hockey Table

This black and white model by Redline has the looks of any regular air hockey table, except that it is of the smaller kind – the Acclaim II measures 4.5 feet.

It’s a good entry-level table and works well for children, mostly smaller kids. The 110V motor is enough for the two small pucks included in the package, although there have been some complaints of the motor breaking down after a few uses.

Other than that, a PVC-laminated surface is present to facilitate a smooth game of air hockey, as are manual sliding scorers so that you can keep track of the game. The table needs to be plugged in for the motor to work.

Overall, most of the previous customers seem to be happy with their purchase of the Redline Acclaim II air hockey table. Though not the best choice out there by far, you can try it out if you’re on a budget and the limited size isn’t a concern.

Pros:

  • Easy assembly
  • Lightweight
  • Long cord for easy plugging into power outlets

Cons

  • Small strikers and lightweight pucks that may fly off the table
  • Complaints of the fan motor not being durable

Redline Victory 6’ Air Hockey Table

The Redline Victory Air Hockey Table is larger than its previously discussed counterpart. It is a better size for adults who need a table without giving up a lot of floor space.

The modern red, black, and silver colors give it an impressive appearance. The graphics are flashier than that of the Acclaim II’s black and white design. A battery-operated LED scorer is also present to help you keep track of the game.

The table features solid MDF rails to stay strong during impact forces by the pucks. A 120V blower is present to provide good airflow that makes the puck float.

For balanced play, leg levelers are present in the package. A PVC playing field gives a smooth surface for the puck to glide. Two strikers and two pucks come as part of the package.

In spite of all the good things about this table, there have been complaints that it is not steady enough.

Overall, this table has mixed reviews, so it is better to go with a better option if you have one.

Pros:

  • LED electronic scorers
  • Flashy, attractive design
  • Good size for a home gaming table
  • Leg levelers are present for balanced play
  • 120V fan for even airflow

Cons:

  • There have been complaints of lack of sturdiness. Extra reinforcement may be needed

Conclusion

While both Redline models seem to be at good prices, they haven’t received as many positive reviews as other more popular brands.

The durability of these tables seems unpredictable due to mixed reviews. Although the features of both tables are adequate, you won’t be missing out on anything if you ditch these for a better brand.

At best, these tables can make good gifts for children who are beginning to learn how to play air hockey.
